This section of the website is intended to provide the WVHOA members
with a convenient resource for documents regarding the covenants, maps
and associated legal documents.
What are Covenants?
The primary legal documents that govern Wood Valley consist of 16
documents, called Restrictive Covenants. Why so many? Because Wood
Valley was developed in many phases. At the beginning of each phase,
covenants and maps were filed with the Wake County Registrar. Many of
the covenants reference the original covenants, filed with section 1.
Other sections have completely independent covenants. In the end,
however, all the covenants are substantially the same.
Which covenants apply to me?
You should have received a copy of your covenants when you purchased
your home. For your convenience, we have obtained copies of some of
the covenants that apply to Wood Valley and make them available on the
covenants page. To locate
applicable covenants on this website, you will need to know what
section you are in.
What section am I in?
On the maps page, you can lookup
your section by map or street address.
Important: There may be additional documents that apply to
individual lots or groups of lots. If you need to see those documents,
we recommend contacting a title company to perform a title search on
your property.
disclaimer: the documents here are not authentic
copies - they have been transposed, scanned or manually entered for
your convience. We recommend consulting the Wake County Registrar for
truly authentic copies of these documents.
